Well, what can be said...the road from concept to screen seemed
rather short...but is now showing more bumps and potholes than ever.
"Kebab Another Day" original began around the 15th of January 2003. What began as a simple
theatrical flip on a trampoline mutated into a phenomena and thus "Kebab Another Day" was born.
It is impossible to say it tells the best of stories, in truth the story is never
fully revealed and is often cryptic at times, but what is presented is stunning effects and dedication by all the cast.
originally intended as a stand-alone film, the original eventually grew a cult following
and so a few months later production on Kebab Another Day the prequel began...and so did a whole new era.
The planned script for the prequel had to be modified after Alasdair declared he was unable
to join the cast for another few months. Not only was Alasdair intended to be in the prequel but also future sequels. It was
decided that his character would take a back seat in future movies, with archive footage and camera trickery used in his absence.
Production for "Kebab Another day" prequel began during April 2003,
and with it came disaster after disaster. filming, unlike the first film (which was filmed over a period of 4 days),
became unpredictable, with camera unavailability seeing the 2 part movie constantly rescheduled for shooting. eventually shooting
recommenced on the 23rd of april and in due time all footage was gathered. during post production however due to technical
difficulties, the edited and uncut director's version of the prequel was lost along with it the humorous cinematic trailer.
Oliver then spent the next few grueling and tedious weeks re-peicing the puzzle and finally on tuesday the 13th of may "Kebab
another Day" prequel had been entirely re-edited, now better than the inferior lost edit.
The final product not only Built on the story of Kebab another day,
filling the missing links, but also held a new distinctive feel, which all the cast and crew were proud of.
KAD RIP:
we will remember you...
"It is nearing the end of march, 2004, Kad 2, while
it held a brief glow, was flickering in the wind....and now it's light has extinguished.
It was decided by all the crew, that rather than beating our already senseless story
senseless, we would leave it on a high, and thus a phenomena comes to and end.
The saga will be remembered for it's coolness. Though you can still catch all the
kick-ass adventures on DVD (this will be out some time in the near future). cheers..."- the whole Gang at
